This Cookie Policy explains how Mnemexa uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (mnemexa.com) and our application dashboard (app.mnemexa.com).
We keep cookie usage minimal. We do not run advertising networks, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioural profiling. The cookies we use exist to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the product is used in aggregate so we can improve it.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and keep you signed in across pages and visits.
Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage (browser-side storage used by single-page apps), and first-party analytics events. We treat these the same as cookies for the purposes of this policy.
Required for the site and dashboard to function. They keep you signed in, secure your session against CSRF, and remember which workspace you are in. These cannot be disabled — disabling them would break login.
Remember preferences such as theme, last-viewed page, or onboarding state. These improve the experience but the product works without them.
First-party, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage — e.g. which pages are visited, which features are used. We do not use cross-site tracking or fingerprinting. IP addresses are anonymised at collection.
We do not use advertising cookies. No remarketing pixels, no cross-site tracking, no third-party ad networks.
A small number of features rely on third parties that may set their own cookies on the page where used:
These third parties are bound by their own privacy policies. We do not share your account data with them beyond what is required for the feature.
You can control cookies in several ways:
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled because the site will not function without them.
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When GPC is enabled in your browser, we treat it as an opt-out from non-essential analytics cookies. Because we do not run advertising or sell data, the practical effect of "Do Not Track" on Mnemexa is limited — there is nothing further to opt out of.
We update this policy when we change our cookie usage. Material changes will be notified via the cookie banner or by email to registered users at least 30 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
